To the biggest Chinese intellectual property conference with Cathay IP

In May 2018, the global professional consulting network Cathay with local offices in more than 60 countries worldwide, the members of which are also law firms Fabiani, Petrovič, Jeraj, Rejc d.o.o., Ljubljana, and Bradvica Marič Wahl Cesarec d.o.o., Zagreb, introduced new platform Cathay IP connecting IP professionals from more than 40 countries worldwide.

The purpose of the platform is to provide IP protection in all the countries that are members of the Cathay IP platform. In particular, Cathay IP focuses on the IP protection in the Chinese market, because it is one of the critical issues encountered by the companies when entering one of the fastest growing global markets. It is true that China’s IP laws and regulations increasingly reflect international standards, but an entirely different legal system regarding the registration and IP protection still frustrates foreign companies entering the market.

The users of the Cathay IP platform will be able to seek the answers to their questions from the professionals speaking their language, who will be able to help them enter the Chinese market or any other market where the members of the Cathay IP are present.

As members of the Cathay IP platform the law firms Fabiani, Petrovič, Jeraj, Rejc d.o.o., Ljubljana, and Bradvica Marič Wahl Cesarec d.o.o., Zagreb, will attend as invited speakers the biggest IP conference in China, IPCOC China 2018, in Shanghai on 15 June 2018. We will introduce our knowledge and experiences of the IP commercialisation in Slovenia and Croatia to the participants at this conference.
