8 May 2025No Comments

The Slovenian community has established a business club in Vienna, which will operate under the name “Slovenian Business Forum Vienna”. Our law firm is participating as a founding member, while Marko Prušnik, a partner and a dual-qualified lawyer in Austria and Slovenia, will act as a board member.

On the initiative of the Slovenian Embassy, the founding General Assembly was held on 7 May 2025 at the Korotan Hotel in Vienna, with more than 40 participants. The Business Forum brings together Slovenian entrepreneurs in Austria, representatives of Slovenian companies in Austria and Slovenes employed by Austrian companies and multinationals.

In the next steps, the Business Club will start to connect with business associations and will work intensively to involve new members, especially Austrian and Slovenian companies. With its headquarters in Vienna, the Business Club does not intend to limit its activities to the Austrian capital and eastern Austria, but would also cover the markets in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

The founding assembly also appointed the working bodies of the Slovenian Business Forum Vienna. Marian Wakounig took over as President. In addition to him, Eva Bönisch, Tamara Kosi, Marko Prušnik and Davor Podbregar were appointed to the Management Board, and Miha Hribar was appointed Secretary. The Business Forum’s Management Board will be advised by a seven-member Expert Council.
